Strategic Support for Stress-Fed Digestive Issues
Digestive symptoms are rarely random. Bloating. Constipation. Urgency. Hormone instability. Fatigue. βStress stomach.β
For many high-functioning adults, these symptoms are driven by nervous system overload β not simply food intolerance.
I specialise in stress-fed digestive dysfunction, where chronic pressure, life events, or prolonged cortisol activation are disrupting gut function.
This is not generic nutrition advice.
It is structured, biology-led regulation.
When the nervous system stabilises, digestion often follows

Why This Work Matters to Me
Before becoming a Nutritional Therapist, I experienced ongoing digestive issues and energy instability myself. Surface-level solutions provided temporary relief but never resolved the root cause.
Understanding the gutβbrain axis changed everything.
The digestive system has its own nervous system. It responds directly to stress hormones, sleep disruption, inflammation, and emotional load.
When I addressed stress physiology alongside nutrition, my health shifted β sustainably.
That experience led me to qualify professionally and establish Humble Gut in 2016.

When Stress Became Personal
In July 2024, my husband Paul passed away.
Grief is profoundly physiological. It alters sleep, hormone stability, immune resilience, and digestive function.
Living through that season reinforced what I teach clinically every day: stress is biological. And recovery requires regulation β not willpower.
It refined my work. It strengthened my clarity around what truly supports the body under pressure.
My approach today is grounded, realistic, and nervous-system aware β because it has to be.

Who I Work With
I work with adults who:

Most of my clients are capable, responsible, and high-functioning β but physiologically overloaded.
They are not looking for trends.
They want clarity.
How I Work
My clinical approach combines:
Personalised nutrition strategy
Hormone-aware adjustments
Nervous system regulation tools
Functional testing where appropriate
Structured follow-up and accountability
This is not reactive symptom chasing.
